So, this week’s post is short and sweet (because I am having a crazy week, I have a looming essay deadline and we are about to go on holiday for a week!). For every gift I am given, I have to give something away. I can give it to a friend or family member, a charity shop or to a homeless person. It can be anything, as long as it is in decent condition or working order. The details are not important. What counts is that I bless others as a result of being blessed myself. I can’t wait until my birthday!
As I approach the halfway mark of my ‘small change’ experiment, it is becoming increasingly challenging to come up with new ideas each week. This week I have been spared total inspirational meltdown by a fellow 1.4 Billion Reasons presenter who suggested this week’s small change. He and his wife have taught their daughter that for every gift she receives, she has to give something away. I thought this was such a great idea as it reminds us of the joy of giving as well as receiving. It also stops hoarding which is never a bad thing.
